Memory 001: Starting over again.

Good morning 625 Topper Street! Usually, the house would be filled with the chatter of the drone!kids and the drone!wife as they start the day all fresh and chirpy. However, this time there's something, or rather someone, who's acting out of the "ordinary" for drones. Rather, when the drone!mum pops up to shake her "daughter" awake, all she gets is a sleepy, "Ten more minutes dad, please...?" Drone!mum shakes her head with exasperation, but gives the teenager the extra time she wants.

Tara is in bed less than that though, as her sleepy mind suddenly realizes that something is not right. Her mom isn't home, she's working out of the country. It's dad who usually wakes her up. And he would NEVER give her ten extra minutes.

Action: 625 Topper Street
Hey Sniper, you have a blonde girl dressed in pyjamas trying to sneak to the phone. She's trying to avoid the drone!mum and the kids, but obviously she's no Spy. However, she does look determined, if not nervous, to get to that phone. Care to speak with her and say hi to your new not!daughter?

Action: Topper Street
She's just had a conversation with her new not!dad, but there's still plenty of things she doesn't get. She's taken to wondering the streets outside now, gaping at the perfect houses and trees that line the entire neighborhood.

Action: School
Mayfield High, there's a new kid who's in town. Tara "Mundy" is looking a little lost though, and she has no idea where the classes are, or even which is her locker. She's going around asking people for help. Maybe she's just waved you over then? Or maybe you see her wandering the corridor? Either way, will you help her out?

Action: Town, after school.
The moment the bell goes, she's out of the place immediately to check out the rest of town. Prison or no, she's not one to turn down the opportunity to go exploring. You might see her around as she checks out the place.

(She was already told that she had been taken from home, that this wasn't even the USA that she had grown up in. Still, she had to at least try. Her fingers nearly slip as she dials in the number.)
...Dad? Are you there?

Nice to meet you, Tsubaki. And yeah, I just woke up here today, how'd you know?

(She's really glad that she's met someone so nice on her first day. And a class mate too? Things seem to have gotten to a great start!)

Oh, you just seemed a little overwhelmed, this place does that at first. I've only been here a month though. Did someone explain things to you yet?

Yeah. The guy who's supposed to be my dad in this place told me a bit about it.

(She doesn't sound very impressed by whoever her not!dad is though.)

All he's told me is that this place is like a prison and we can't escape from it.

Unfortunately, that's the same thing I was told. You just missed the strange. things that happened during Halloween. [She sighs.]

The town turned every day during the week before into something from an old, bad horror film.

But we do know who is behind it all, it's just hard to get to her.

The whole place is one bad movie. Have you watched "The Stepford Wives" before? It's exactly like Mayfield.

Is it because she's got some incredibly powerful super power?

And yes, from what people say, she has the ability to warp reality somehow.

No wonder she's got so many people stuck here. Has anyone tried to fight against her? I'm pretty sure that there has to be a super hero somewhere in Mayfield.

I'm not sure. They must not have succeeded or else everyone would be talking about it.

My partner and I just recently got the ability to fight together back. We were going to do some scouting when we got the chance.

Are you a superhero then Tsubaki? That's pretty cool, what sort of powers do you and your partner have?

Not really a superhero. I am a weapon.

[She transforms her pony tail into a chain with a small scythe at the end.]

I can do a complete transformation when my meister is around. But, I can transform into multiple weapons, and we fight together against souls gone bad and witches.

Wow...that's pretty neat! I don't know about your world, but in mine you definitely qualify as a super hero if you're out against the bad guys. What sort of weapons can you change into?

I wouldn't say I'm a superhero, I just like to help people. [[She's blushing now.]

A chain scythe [This one she demonstrates by changing her pony into a short chain with a scythe at the end.], ninja blades, shurikan, and smoke bombs. I have another weapon mode, but it isn't available to me yet.

So...you're like a ninja then! Can you use cool kungfu moves too? Or like, jump and do flips in the air and stuff? And helping people is what super heroes do anyway, so if you like to do that, than you're definitely a super hero.

Oh, my partner is much better at hand to hand combat than I am, but I do train to try and keep up.

Oh, so you're like a junior super hero then? Just like the Teen Titans! They're a group of teenage super heroes in my town. Most of them used to be sidekicks to the Justice League members, before they struck out on their own. There's one of them in town too. Have you met her? Her name's Raven, and she's the coolest of the Teen Titans.

I've been mostly trying to keep my partner out of trouble, so I haven't been able to talk to as many people as I'd like yet. But I'd say it's a good possibility.

That's great to hear! The Justice League protects my world all the time. They've always managed to save us, even when things look bad. I'm sure they'll get us out of here in no time.

Ah, but they might not have their abilities, and the villain here seems to be a bit more elusive than most.

Oh yeah, the town can take away superpowers. I forgot about that.

But you know what? I think you're right. We can't just give up and let them win. We have to keep trying.

I'm just a normal girl. I don't know if there's anything I can do to help but...if you need anything, you know who to call Tsubaki. I'll do what I can.
