Memory 001: Starting over again.

Good morning 625 Topper Street! Usually, the house would be filled with the chatter of the drone!kids and the drone!wife as they start the day all fresh and chirpy. However, this time there's something, or rather someone, who's acting out of the "ordinary" for drones. Rather, when the drone!mum pops up to shake her "daughter" awake, all she gets is a sleepy, "Ten more minutes dad, please...?" Drone!mum shakes her head with exasperation, but gives the teenager the extra time she wants.

Tara is in bed less than that though, as her sleepy mind suddenly realizes that something is not right. Her mom isn't home, she's working out of the country. It's dad who usually wakes her up. And he would NEVER give her ten extra minutes.

Action: 625 Topper Street
Hey Sniper, you have a blonde girl dressed in pyjamas trying to sneak to the phone. She's trying to avoid the drone!mum and the kids, but obviously she's no Spy. However, she does look determined, if not nervous, to get to that phone. Care to speak with her and say hi to your new not!daughter?

Action: Topper Street
She's just had a conversation with her new not!dad, but there's still plenty of things she doesn't get. She's taken to wondering the streets outside now, gaping at the perfect houses and trees that line the entire neighborhood.

Action: School
Mayfield High, there's a new kid who's in town. Tara "Mundy" is looking a little lost though, and she has no idea where the classes are, or even which is her locker. She's going around asking people for help. Maybe she's just waved you over then? Or maybe you see her wandering the corridor? Either way, will you help her out?

Action: Town, after school.
The moment the bell goes, she's out of the place immediately to check out the rest of town. Prison or no, she's not one to turn down the opportunity to go exploring. You might see her around as she checks out the place.

Phone, unfiltered
(She was already told that she had been taken from home, that this wasn't even the USA that she had grown up in. Still, she had to at least try. Her fingers nearly slip as she dials in the number.)
...Dad? Are you there?

[identity profile] forgotten-titan.livejournal.com 2011-11-10 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
No, no! I mean, it's ok! I'm sorry I got mad at you too, it's just that I get it a lot back home and it just gets annoying that everyone keeps mistaking you for a bad guy.

(She is half-excited, and half-afraid now. Her favorite Titan, right here in the flesh! She should totally get her autograph, maybe even take a picture! But then, it strikes her that Raven is HERE, as in, in Mayfield. That means she's trapped her too.

The fact that a Teen Titan couldn't get out makes her deflate a little. If Jump City's heroes couldn't do it...then there wasn't anyone else who can.)

Umm...Raven? Were you just kidnapped too? I saw you on the news a few days ago. Are any of the other Teen Titans here too?

[identity profile] sarcasmandbooks.livejournal.com 2011-11-10 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I've been here for a month. And no. There aren't any other Teen Titans here.

[Robin, wasn't Robin here. So that was the truth. A pause. But she needs to address something.]

As for the first part.

Terra was Titan, she was my friend. She sacrificed her life to save the city.

She is not a bad guy.

[identity profile] forgotten-titan.livejournal.com 2011-11-10 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
(Tara can't believe her ears. Raven is defending one of the villains of Jump City?)

Are you sure? Because from what I heard, she betrayed the Titans and helped Slade to take over Jump City. A lot of my friends got hurt when that happened, and one of them lost her best friend when she started throwing rocks around. That doesn't seem like something a Titan would do.

[identity profile] sarcasmandbooks.livejournal.com 2011-11-10 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not saying she didn't do bad things.

I know what she did. I fought her.

[She was almost killed by her.]

But she saved the town. If it wasn't for her, we would all be dead. She chose to sacrifice herself because she realized what she did was wrong and she was the only one who could stop it.

[identity profile] forgotten-titan.livejournal.com 2011-11-11 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
(Not how she expected the conversation to be. But if anything, she doesn't want to anger Raven. However, the bit about Terra saving the town...)

...really? She did that?

(That wasn't part of what her friends told her. It comes as a surprise.)

[identity profile] forgotten-titan.livejournal.com 2011-11-11 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
I...didn't know that. I used to live in Steel City, so when I first came to Jump, everyone told me that she tried to destroy the city.

[identity profile] sarcasmandbooks.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
That's not surprising.

But it's more complicated then it seems.

[identity profile] forgotten-titan.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
Then why doesn't anyone say anything about it? It's not fair on her that everyone just picks what they want to remember about her and forget the rest.

People believe what they want to believe. They assumed we were covering up for a fellow Titan.

But...but you're the Teen Titans. Everyone in Jump City loves you guys. I thought that they'd at least believe you, if not her.

[identity profile] sarcasmandbooks.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
They wanted to move on. And it's probably not as well known what she did at the end. Stories get mixed up, blame get's passed around....

People single out "bad guys".

[identity profile] forgotten-titan.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
(Guilt guilt guilt.)

Y-yeah. I guess I owe her an apology then. And to you too.

[identity profile] sarcasmandbooks.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
It's not your fault. Like I said, the truth's sadly not well known.

So did you just get here?

[identity profile] forgotten-titan.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 03:28 am (UTC)(link)
Uh huh. Just today, actually. It's been OK so far though. I mean, I've got a pretty cool neighbor.

(Conveniently not mentioning her not!dad.)

[identity profile] sarcasmandbooks.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Good.

You're going to have to be careful. This place is dangerous.

[identity profile] forgotten-titan.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Right. Got it.

Umm...exactly how dangerous, though? Like, Gotham dangerous?

[identity profile] sarcasmandbooks.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
Worse.

[Not near her father level worse though.]

Don't drink the milk. Strange things happen once a month. And if you die, you wake up the next day in bed. So dying is common here.

[identity profile] forgotten-titan.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
D-dying!?

(She's horrified. The concept of death is still very foreign to her.)

[identity profile] forgotten-titan.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
A-a-and we come back...the next day? H-how?

[identity profile] forgotten-titan.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
(She's...going to take awhile to accept this. This isn't something she should be dealing with! This is something super heroes should do, not her. She's nothing special!)

[identity profile] sarcasmandbooks.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
I don't have my powers here, but you're still a citizen of Jump City.

[And possibly a titan.]

I'll do what I can to keep you safe.

[identity profile] forgotten-titan.livejournal.com 2011-11-13 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
T-thanks. Is...is there anything I can do though? Just...just in case I'm in trouble.
